Cabo Fishing Report - Blue Sky Cabo

September 22, 2026 – Cabo Dorado Report – 35' Riviera Blue Water

A full eight-hour run aboard the 35-foot Riviera Blue Water with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours produced multiple dorado for Cody from Vancouver, British Columbia, on September 22, 2026. Captain Oscar ran the offshore trip from Cabo San Lucas, with the longer charter providing the range needed to search warm late-September water for active dorado.

Cabo Fishing Report – September 22 Statistics

Date: September 22, 2026 | Charter Length: 8 hours | Anglers: 1
Guest: Cody | Home City: Vancouver, BC | Captain: Oscar
Boat: Blue Water | Size: 35' | Make: Riviera
Primary Catch: Multiple dorado | Marlin: 0 | Tuna: 0 | Wahoo: 0
Technique: Offshore trolling | Dredge: Yes | Lunch: Included
Water: Upper 80s°F | Air: Low-to-upper 80s°F | Wind: Moderate
Departure: Cabo San Lucas | Region: Southern Baja offshore waters

This trip was built around covering water.

Eight hours gave Oscar and the crew time to search beyond the immediate Cabo shoreline and adjust the trolling pattern according to offshore conditions. Rather than repeatedly working one small area, Blue Water could continue moving until the crew found signs associated with dorado.

Dorado Fishing Cabo Charter Conditions

The late-September water was warm, which matched the seasonal conditions normally associated with Cabo's dorado fishery.

A dredge was incorporated into the trolling program to increase the underwater profile of the spread. The objective was to simulate a larger concentration of bait beneath the boat while trolling individual presentations behind it.

The strategy eventually put Cody into multiple dorado.

For one angler, that made for a productive day: multiple dorado, eight hours available to fish and a full offshore program aboard a 35-foot Riviera.

No marlin, tuna or wahoo were recorded on this charter. Dorado accounted for the day's game-fish action.

Cabo Report Fishing Yacht – Final Statistics

Charter duration: 8 hours | Boat length: 35 feet | Captain: Oscar
Guest anglers: 1 | Dorado: Multiple | Other game fish: 0
Dredge deployed: Yes | Primary method: Trolling | Release count: 0

Cody had traveled from Vancouver to Cabo, so having a full fishing day gave the crew considerably more flexibility than a short charter would have provided.

The important statistic wasn't simply eight hours on the clock. It was the additional offshore search time those eight hours created.

Blue Water could investigate changing water, continue trolling when an early area failed to produce and stay with the program until dorado were located.

By the end of September 22, that effort resulted in multiple dorado and another productive Southern Baja offshore fishing day.
