Hola Baja Nomad Amigos,

Well, my student is about to take off on his first Baja adventure with his dad and some of you were very kind to offer your hotel ideas a few weeks back and now I was wondering if anyone can give some recommendations for reasonable places in San Jose del Cabo ($50-100) that would great.

Thanks for any ideas!!

Thanks for the info...I actually recommended the Tropicana before I saw your posts because it looked reasonable and comfortable so thanks for the confirmation. I'm sure that my student will have a great adventure with his dad and I wish that I was going too...Missing Mulege Mucho!!

I hope I am not too late. The Los Blanco Dolphines, is the best place period. For around 50 per night you get the real baja experience.

Gracias Me No

Thanks for your tip and I passed it on to my student. He's flying today to Los Cabos and then will spend a week in the area with his dad doing the "loop" to Todos Santos, La Paz and back to Los Cabos. I told him to take his sunscreen and hat because my fair skinned "guero" Swiss student will fry for sure with the temps that I've seen the past few days...the poor guy probably thought that he left his mother in Switzerland and now he has me lecturing him on sunscreen....oh well, I know how much of a bummer a bad sunburn can be!! Thanks again for the tip!!

Sorry Me No
But if you are talking about the dolphines blancos in La Playita, you do not under any circumstances want to stay there. The trucks moving the sludge which they are taking out for the marina go right by there one after another all day long...jake braking all the way. It would be a horrible place to be now and it is $75 a night for 2 people.

I agree! We stayed there too. Far away from the bee hive. We also stayed at the La fiesta that DEMANDED that we wear thir wrist i.d. bands! A few years ago. Hell with em! So...they have really started on the Marina? You got pictures of that maybe?

What control freaks there are here. Don\'t believe that post you just read!

Thanks again for the tips everyone. I will let you know where he ended and his impressions when he returns to school next week. As I write, I believe he and his dad are in La Paz.
