Sharks----

The name does not ring a bell, but I am really anxious to find a good mechanic, so any help would be sincerely appreciated..

I just got a call from the Service Mgr. at the local Buick dealer (no Isuzu dealer in town) where I was having them put in a new front left axle assembly (both left CV boots went out) in my 1989 Isuzu Trooper. They originally quoted me 2 hours labor. 4 hours later they call and tell me they made a mistake----it takes 4.7 hours to put in an axle assembly (supplied by me). At $80 per hour you can do the math and realize that I need a good, reasonable mechanic, even tho the Buick dealer mechanic is a good man, and a friend. Prices are outrageous.

I hate it when this happens!! (but fixing the trooper is worth it, I suppose)
