Ricardo's at Punta Chivato

Ricardo's at Punta Chivato before you get to the hotel is relatively new and we have had some great meals the couple of times we went. The Mexican dishes are very good with good sized portions and they have excellent sea food. They also have very good steaks and daily specials all at reasonable prices. They also make a darn good margarita and the beer is cold.

Ricardo's is on the left about 1/4 mile before the hotel and across the road from the golf course. I don't think there was a sign yet and the parking is inside a small courtyard in front.

The hotel really doesn't seem to want any buisness. You can't even drop in and go the the resturant or bar. We walked through in March and everything looked closed even though there were a couple of people staying there. It too bad because it could be such a nice place.

Thanks, Joelt

Is that kinda near where that welding/maintenance area is?

The irony of the hotel restaurant is not that it COULD be such a nice place; it is that it USED to be such a nice place before the owners "renovated" it.

Yes. It is just before you get to the welding/maint. area and yes I have heard that it used to be a nice place. I have only been going to that area for about 3 years.
