La Tijereta Wins in Loreto


Our boat places 1st in the "Fish'in for the Mission" Tournement for 2005
:biggrin::biggrin:

52 boats entered, and over $10,000 given to the Mission and local school for the Ranchero Kids.

Best two Dorado were a total of 59.5 lbs for two days fishing.

Felicidades!
There are 23 of the ranchero schools in BCS. If there is one in your community please find out how you can help with it. These kids give up a lot to go to school as do their parents who could probably use them to work on the rancho during the week when they are in school.
FYI...the kids come to school on monday and go home friday. most schools are dreadfully under financed, in some the kids sleep on the floor, the basics are not always available...by that I mean clean bathrooms(forget about hot water for showers in the winter), sufficient food, school supplies etc. so if you can help please do.
Hats off to Loreto where there has for some time been a group of people supporting their school.

I caught that yellowfin tuna on "your rod" with Torium 30/ 40lb test:biggrin::biggrin: >>>>53.2 lbs..Also took a 1st place for that fish:biggrin:

Judy... the Internio School in Loreto was given over $4,500 from tournament that night, the director gave us a full run down on how last year's money was used..The Padre from the mission was handed a check for $6,500.. Last year's money was used to restore the orginal chapel next door to the mission.:biggrin:
