hey jr

Unknown Lakes
These are the lakes that I have stumbled across in my travels in both the Sierra Lagunas and Sierra Gigantas in south Baja. They are not on any maps that I have seen and most of them are year round. Interesting.

Were these fresh water lakes? If so....did you try fishing?

Maybe JR could help on this. I posted this question on another topic.

Maybe someone can tell me what I see at 26 Degrees 05' N and 111 Degrees 44' W ????????

They look like very lagre lakes.

This area, I believe, is NW of Loreto as viewed by a satilite.

I looked at the maps

but not the satellite images. There are two dry lake beds there that probably had water when the shots were taken. Llano Salgado and llano San Julio.

There are many areas like this that only fill up in the rainy season. There are also many year round lakes that aren't on the maps.:bounce:
