U.S. saying Bye Bye to Nuevo Laredo

The United States is closing it's consulate in Nuevo Laredo after a shootout at a house there last night. The gunmen used Automatic Weapons, grenades and rocket launchers.

We're always saying that it is more dangerous in the big cities of the U.S. than in Mexico, but maybe that's not true of Nuevo Laredo.

Daylight Shootout

Fox News this a.m. (1020 hrs) has a crew in Nuevo Laredo. They were getting ready to head into town, but were unhappy with the security arrangements. Suddenly, they heard gunfire nearby and rushed over a few blocks to find a full-scale shootout going on with multiple victims. What a town !
