Baja Sur Investigative Service

Question to All on this Board:

I am in the beginning stages of setting up an Investigation Unit for Newcomers and those thinking about buying Property in Baja Sur .

This Service will be for those who would like a Pre-look at certain Areas and Properties Etc. before making a First Trip to Look at something taken from the Net.

My 35 years in Baja Sur along with my training an Experience will be used to give anyone a Fair, uptodate report,Photos etc at a very fair and Honest Price.

I will appreciate any feedback and opinions and need for this Service.
On the Board or U2u.

Thank you

Is that really you?
I think you will have your work cut out for you my friend. Why don't you just buy and sell properties or homes yourself? I know of a whole bunch available down there!

JR

That is what I did for several years while in Loreto. However I now need to do it from the States.

I think there may be people out there that would orefer some Factual Information before going to Baja sur and Gettin into a bad situtation.
My investigation would give them a Factual Dscriptions with the "Cold Hard Facts".
Property, Houses, Locations etc. such as a place like La Purisima.
Will give it a try.

Thanks for the offer of help!
It will be my intetion to give a Factual report on Property, Location etc so that a person of interest will be able to make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Such as: Someone would like to know about La Purisima.

Description of Area
Propertiy
Water
Electricity
People and Attitudes
Services/Goods
Medical/location/ Distance
Photos

It is my opinion that as Baja Grows there will be a number of people who will not want to be compressed into a "Village", that these people will seek out those places that have Character. I think the future will show that people will start moving next door to a Mexicano and start being neighbors.

Anyway I may be able to do a Service and enjoy my Baja for a few more years.

My question is Skeet

How are you really going to know the answers about these places when you are so far away?

Where are you located?

Baja is a big place. It would appear to me a difficult task to be able to give good informative information for all Baja. Now if you specialized in a particular area - Say Rosarito to Ensenada, or La Paz, you could probobly do a comprehensive job, but as a consumer, I would question Baja in general.

I am a consumer and would be willing to pay for good information on finding an affordable home with good re-sale potenial in the Ensenada/Rosarito area. I am interested in learning about the nicer areas where Mexicans live that are relatively safe, and not Gringo enclaves with stateside prices.

I would guess that there are probably other viewers reading this post right now, that would like similar information on their targeted destination. However, just as you can't be an effective and informative real estate agent for all of Baja, you could not be "informed enough" to be a real asset it you don't narrow your demographic area of expertise down. That just my opinion. Others should jump in.

Please note

Baja Sur------Not Baja Norte

I have no intention of selling Property, just to reort on all of the different hings a person would like to know about in a General Area.

JR Flights to Baja Sur are often. I just completed a 4 Day turn around talking with Friends, signing some papers and generally looking around. I would concetrate only in Baja Sur. It would not be my intention to locate a Home for a new comer but to give them a Factual Report on some of the things they should or want to know before they put their time and effort into a trip.

I know many areas in Baja Sur that have a good future, depending on what a person might be interested in, such as Mountains, Sea, Pacific, Sea Of cortez etc.

My Investigation would be a Personal up front type. Depending only on the Facts gathered in Person.

Skeet - yes, a great idea! good for you to want to offer.

as an exampale, i am pushing some land deals to some bucks heavy investor friends of mine out of Chi town and we'll tour the offerings this fall. with you as a consultant based on your connections and years of experiences i'd pay the fair rate for you to help negotiate/broker the deal and hook us up with your abogado/notary. After all, it ain't about what you know, its about who you know and how well you can network.
anybody who doesn't understand how the game is played got their big bucks thru lottery or inheritance!! IMHO - not discounting good old fashion hard work either!

send me your contact info Skeet and i'll stay in touch.

Mike

Thanks Mike I am willing and Able at this Point. Even got clearance for a Medical update if I wanted.!

My I am seriousand what you posted is right On!
I looked into several good potiential Investments while in Baja. One I passed up at $50,000 last year now its $200,000 and will go to $300,000 by this time next year.

Also there is a new thing in La Paz that is coming up, if I can get Virginia to go along we might buy and build a Home in La Paz.

Tell your investors not to over look La Ventana, Pesquedor{south of Todos Santos} nor La Paz.

Mike as a suggestion give all those investors a copy of the WAC Chart with the various locations.

I would like very much to assist. Skeet/Loreto

Skeet -
we are going for the east cape exclusively - i am hounded by realtors already just from setting out a few feelers. some are residents tho and i think know their stuff. i have to meet them all and then decide with whom i want to deal. the problem is none of it is regulated and "everybody" and their brother is an agent listing. thus the need for an "agent" of my own and if at fee, hey - big fricking deal. I "do" what i do well, and pay others gladly to "do" what i can't!!

Mike; Wise move for the East Cape area, you get away from most of the Druggies!

Mike; I will start out at a very low rate of $100 bucks a Day plus Expenses:

One Half of Expenses up front/5 day fee.

Let me know if anything comes up. Skeet/Loreto
