chopy was silenced for opening his mouth too wide, a gringo in mexico complaining about real estate, insurance and mexican businessmen and gringo businessmen.

he was beaten to death

I did wonder if Chopy was silenced for exposing the undercurrent of manipulation and corruption that exist in Cabo.

He certainly was aware of who the players were and made no bones about calling their game. An eyeopener for many on this board.

His last postings he described himself as an investigative reporter.

The question is what was Chopy investigating and what was he going to report?

I don't buy the idea that he would want everything swept under the rug simply because he is dead.

Quite the Opposite.

He would enjoy a full and open conversation. Expose was what Chopy was all about. He would say "keep up the work old man".
