Traffic Stats
Sort of a reply to another thread commenting on "hits" here...
The term "hits" is usually misused and/or misunderstood. "Hits" are file requests (every page & every graphic is a unique request) from the
server.
For the last four months there have been right around 2.5 million hits from the BajaNomad forums.
Monthly amount of visitors here has been in the 7,600-8,800 range this year, but we had a few more visitors linking over from another site (to one
particular page) in July which drove that number up quite a bit.
For July there were:
12,520 visitors
469,767 pages opened
2,504,229 hits

The stats for July of last year were probably about average up to that time. They started to increase as the year went on.
I don't have the stats any longer going back much earlier than that. The escapist.com site where I had a bulletin board earlier has always maintained
traffic of about 5000-9000 visitors a month - even with outdated information (at this point).
Here are the stats from July of 2004 (last year):
6,360 visitors
296,483 pages opened
1,126,270 hits
Remember that as there is an increase in the amount of threads/content on this site, there will naturally be an increase in the amount of pages opened
as well (and visitors).
