fishin rich on the road

All my appointments have been met so now I can get back on the road in search of fish. I recently spent some time on the pacific side but this trip I will concentrate on the cortez side. I have 20 days to kill so first stop will be bola to see how the fishing is doing. If it is good I might not leave but if the fish a scarce then mulege will be my next stop and after that loreto, that will be as far south as I intend to go. Will leave wednesday morning and hopefully be hooked up by thursday-----fishin rich

Hey Rich, what did you catch your halibut and corvina on on the Pacific side? Sand crabs? Clams?

bait

Shark---Although the san crabs were the jumbo variety, pieces of clam worked the best by far. Stayed on the hook well and the spotfin croaker really ate it up. There were also lots of mussels on the rocks that I am sure would have worked just fine. fishin rich

fiesta

Panga---When I am in town I take my dog for a walk around fiesta island. It is leash free and she can run wild while I get in a 4 mile walk. I know the kayakers have been doing well on the whites and yellows while the boats have had little luck. It must be they can sneek in with out disturbing the fish. Fishin rich

Hey, if you are headed south, stop by San Lucas Cove. We are leaving Colorado on the 15th and will be at our place on the 19th.

It is awesome to see the white seabass recovering so well. I remember catching some big ones as a kid in the Catalina Channel.
I was also impressed with the number of nearshore takes as well and the catch/release numbers.

Pescador: Where in CO do you live. I'm going to have to take a car to Cabo next 6 weeks or so and wondered what your route might be.

Hey man the beer is always cold. We are leaving tomorrow and will take 4 -5 days to get there and are planning on being there until the 10th of February. We are now in the San Lucas RV park and are the northenmost trailer on the bluffs at waters edge. Come on up anytime, we would love to see you and tell some big lies.
