Tustin woman allegedly caught smuggling 43 pounds of heroin

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Customs officers are calling it one of the largest heroin seizures in recent memory in Southern Califonia.

A 34-year-old California woman allegedly tried to smuggle 43 pounds of heroin across the U-S Mexico border into San Diego. Maria de Jesus Diaz was caught Saturday evening at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, the world's busiest border crossing linking San Diego and Tijuana.

Customs inspectors discovered 13 packages of Mexican black tar heroin hidden in Diaz's undergarments and behind a rear panel in the Lincoln Navigator she was driving. A search of Diaz's Tustin home turned up 27-thousand dollars cash.

Authorities say the intercept was the result of a computer-generated referral.

Spam and be Spammed!

Hey, there is tract house in our modest OC neighborhood which was just bought for cash, a mere 600 grand. Noone is ever home during the day, pit bulls in the fenced yard, and the cars parked in the driveway and in front change every week or so, always around 3 or 4 in the AM, plates from CA or Illinois. This house was bought by Mexicans from friends of mine.

I know what they are doing and mind my own business. I aint spamming these guys to become spam. It is going on everywhere in San Diego and OC.

I choose to remain anon on this one for obvious reasons.
