here's my process:

choose a foto and use windows picture resizer to shrink it to an email attachment size. it usually goes from 1.5MB to about 90KB. that isn't small enough so i use the the program that came with my printer/scanner/copier to adjust the size down 10-15% then save it. then i use windows resizer again and it is usually smaller than 50KB.

when you have a foto less than 50KB look near the bottom of the text box for your reply ABOVE the button "post reply" is a button to "browse" for the file (foto) you wanna attach. click "browse" and you will need to navigate to the directory where your foto resides and click on it. then "post reply" and viola!

it's easier than it sounds.

Or if you already have a digital photo on your computer, you go to a site like www.photobucket.com, or www.imageshack.com. Or search for "photo hosting" on the web there are a ton of sites with a ton of diferent features.

Register with the site of your choice, then upload (copy) the photo from your hard drive to their server.

Now there will be a link to your photo on their server, copy this link and paste it in your Baja Nomad message. Simply cut and paste with the mouse.

You can type in a description above or below the photo link, and as this is an off site server, you can add as many photos as you want in one message.

It should look something like this (without the spaces between the "IMG")

[I M G]http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b111/YOUR LOGIN NAME/PHOTO ID CODE.jpg[/ I M G]

Then hit the "preview post" button. If the photos are too big, ie. more than can be seen the computer screen, go back to the photo hosting site and edit the photos to resize them. Photobucket allows you to reduce by 75%, 50% or 25% percent. Reduce and then "preview post" again. Photos that are bigger than one screen are a pain to view.....Don't reduce to much in the beginning, because small photos are tough to view too, and you will have to delete and re-upload.

Good luck, and I look forward to what you have to show us!

An example

Here is a photo of me I just uploaded. It was taken in the winter of 2000 in South Dakota. It was initially too big, so I resized it at Photobucket to 75% so it would fit in the screen. And yes, it was butt cold that day, around 5 degrees F. :o

The link looked like this before I posted the message, but again without the spaces for the "IMG":

"[I M G]http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b111/BajaPisces/c7f75861.jpg[/ I M G]
