RV dump in San Felipe
Is there a RV dump site in San Felipe or at the south Campos?
I am taking a group to Nuevo Mazatian or Percubu in December. Even with using their facilities we will need to dump tanks at least once. I know there
is on at Pete?s; but it?s not very convenient from the south campos

I thimk there is one at the RV park across from El dorado.
Been told not to stay there.

The RV park across from El Dorado IS El Dorado. El Dorado has two RV Parks, one at the beach by the pool and the other is this one. Most of the
spots are dry camp but there are a few with septic. I am sure you could talk to the manager about dumping there for a price. Some of the south
campos should have a place to dump.
Speaking of dumping, there is a free dump in Calexico. It is about 5 blocks east of the old border crossing and right against the border street, on
the first street next to the fense. I used it two weeks ago before coming home. There is a short water hose there too for rinsing. I saw it once
from the Mexico side and this is the first time I used it.

No dumping station here or anywhere nearby that I'm aware of.

There will be at least 6 RV's so I don't think a shovel is a good answer.
I think I will try to call Nuevo Mazatian ,I believe I got a San Felipe # last year.
and bring a portable dump tank.
I also heard we may be able to use the closed La Jolla Trailer park,in S F
with a small fee

The people who are going to dump in the desert will do so without any encouragement from me.
When you get right down to it, though, it's not a whole lot different from what we're all doing right now, using open-bottom Septic (Cess Pools)
leaching straight into the soil. For that matter, even the tanks in town that are now being pumped are simply being poured into an open air pit out
at the town dump, of so I've been told by a number of people.
Back when we dry-camped out of our vehicles, we dug a hole and buried the contents, saving and burning the paper. The only difference is the volume.
The dump facility in San Felipe probably presents a greater threat to the Aquifer than any shallow-dumped waste could.
Given the cost of a real waste treatment facility, I don't see any coming along anytime soon.

I guess it's kind of a partial sewer system..... Does anyone know where this plant is? Maybe you could dump there.

The plant is on Old Puertocitos road just south of Las Minitas - havent seen anything around it that would indicate a dump.

Research Needed
Well, I guess I'll spend some time on this one. I'm interested, too. It may be that the facilities connected to the sewer system are being pumped to
the waste treatment facility and the Septic tank pumpers are dumping into a different facility at the dump.
Quien Sabe ? I'll ask some people who should know.
