Ejido leader gunned down in broad daylight in Rosarito
Anybody know anything about that?
It was reported in the recent issue of the Garbage Gazette, but I've seen nothing in the San Diego Union Tribune.
The story says that on 10/27/05, he was accosted on the main boulevard and chased and cornered on the side street near the fire station by attackers
dressed in all black. More than forty rounds of bullets were fired from semi-automatic weapons.

I think he asked the local cartel if they would not mind carrying the coke headed for the US over the Ejido land. Seems they said no.
Cheers,

Here's a link to an article in spanish - it's short on details - it was an apparent kidnap attempt.

I think I read something about the perpetrators being caught and sent to Mexico City - they were part of a narco gang - I'll see if I can find where I
read it.

Here's a link to another article from La Cronica from Mexicali - it's short on detail as to the crime - they're suspected members of the Arellano
Felix Cartel - the three were sent to Mexico City.
