Buttermilk?

Anyone know a place in La Paz where buttermilk is stocked consistently? We've found it at a CCC but only once, and my pancakes just don't taste the same when made with milk soured with lime juice or vinegar.

Buttermilk

You might try the Alamo market. Sonora beef and good stuff. Sorry , I don't have the address but it's not hard to find if you ask. On the street up one block from the Malecon I think.

My youngest and I simply give up on eating both cottage cheese and buttermilk when we're in La Paz. Both of the products are sold by the CCC, but they tend to be sour tasting instead of that good buttery or milky flavor. Even in the States, buttermilk just aint what it could be. I remember when I was a little girl, the buttermilk my mom got always had little chunks of butter floating around in it. I haven't seen that kind of buttermilk for years now. - Stephanie

Stephanie--as usual, I'm in agreement with your view. Buttermilk just ain't what it once was. (But then neither am I.)

Ski Baja--that sounds findable, and I'll give it a try.

Thanks to you both.
