Just past the town square in San Ignacio on the road that goes out to La Laguna. Is the restaurant called Rene's?

I have no idea why I knew the answer. I've only been there once, but BajaJudy's picture brought back the whole experience.

I recall it was about 6 years ago in the middle of the day in the peak of summer and it was HHot. The sombra of the restaurant's patio was a welcome spot to observe the bustling dusty street and nearby town square of San Ignacio. The church bells rang, music was playing, dogs were barking...

I remember looking at the whale mural as I fanned myself with a menu and thinking, "aaahhh whales. WINTER. That would feel nice..."

I wish my memory was as vivid when it came to stuff like working the GPS or satellite phone.
