Shipwreck Beach mid 80's
Hope this (my firs photo posting) works.
Shipwreck Beach mid 80's.
Suppose it was walled, malled, and condo'd years ago...??
Haven't been there since Cabo sprawled outta control.

Todos Santos Circus... same winter trip
I was in TS homeward bound the same trip (mid 80's). There had been a circus on an open lot across from the little camp spot I spent the night at
(right on the hwy after the turns)...
In the morning, the circus had packed up and left town..... and OOOOPS.... they forgot this poor bear!!!
I fed him some papaya and a peanut butter sandwich... and stayed with him (he loved to be scratched under his collar) until.... about 2 hours
later.... sure enough, a truck rolled back into TS and a very embarrassed crew loaded up my furry friend.... I felt so sorry for this bear.

What photo software are you using? I can probably walk you through a procedure to make your photos a little larger.

I have Adobe Photoshop (Elements 2 - which is a free version for educators).... which I am a novice at... I really over-shrunk that little bear!

Using Elements 2.0
Sizing photos for the web using Elements 2.
1. Open photo in Elements 2.0
2. Under the ?File? menu, select ?Save for Web?.
a. This will open a split window with a copy of the photo in each window and some controls down the right side.
b. The left window is your original, below the photo is the title and the file size. Below this is the ?Zoom? pull-down. This affects both windows. It
defaults to 100%, which means you are looking at only a small portion of the whole picture. Select ?Fit on Screen? to see the whole photo in both
windows. NOTE; Zoom does not affect the photo?s characteristics, it just allows you to control what is being shown in the windows.
c. The right is a reduced size version based on the last settings used in the controls on the right side. Below the right photo is the file type (like
jpg), the quality, the new file size, and the loading time for a given internet connection speed.
3. On the right side control boxes, ensure that the ?Progressive? box under ?Settings? is checked and the ?Constrain Proportions? is checked under the
?Image Size? ? ?New Size? is checked.
4. Now enter the new width, in pixels (I use 600 for this forum), and click on ?Apply?. You may have to re-adjust the ?Zoom?. The new file size is
shown below the right window.
5. The above steps will normally reduce the file size automatically to an acceptable level (for this forum, it?s 50k or below). If you want to apply
additional file size adjustment, you can do this two ways.
a. Select a different quality by selecting ?Low?, ?Medium?, ?High? or ?Maximum? from the drop-down menu below the file type in the ?Settings? box; or
b. Click on the ?Quality? arrow, this will bring up a slider for you to use to adjust the quality.
c. These adjustments are shown immediately in the "File Size" below the right window.
6. When you are satisfied with your changes, click on ?OK?. This will bring up the ?Save Optimized As? box where you can select the folder (I use a
folder called ?Web Reduced?), change the file name (you can save in the original folder, just add WR or something like that so you know it?s not the
original), and save it. WARNING: If you don?t change the folder or the name, you will overwrite your original!!!
7. Once you save it, you will be taken back to the original photo. When you close the original, it will ask you if you want to save changes; select
NO, this will preserve your original.
Of course there are a lot of other things you can do with "Save for Web" but this will get you started.

Resizing is just a minor procedure included in Elements; and since djh said that was what he had, I provided the instructions.
You can do something similar with Microsoft Paint, however you cannot control both picture size and file size. All you can do is change the picture
size using the "Streach/Skew" function. This will change the file size but sometimes to get the proper file size, you end up with a thumbnail picture
size. Which is almost impossible to see.
If you have a different software package, let me know and I can probably tell you how to do it as I have almost all of them.
