Which Mexican bank is owned by BofA

Bank of American either owes all or much of a Mexican bank. Will you let me know which one it is?

Thanks,
DianaMo;)

"Citibank, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo have all bought into or established a relationship with a Mexican bank: Citibank owns Banamex, Bank of America has an ownership stake in Santander-Serfin, and Wells Fargo has alliances with Bancomer and HSBC Mexico."

Most American financial institutions

have developed a corresponding relationship with Mexico since the regulatory rules were relaxed in the last few years.

To the best of my knowledge, BoA does not have a controlling interest in any Mexican bank.

HSBC bought control of Banco Bital, BoA has a "corresponding interest"

BoA has a "corresponding interest" in Santander Serfin and probably other Mexican banks.

Actually, I use Scotia Bank, because they don't charge any fees to withdraw money in Baja. I have a B of A account, and I never see an additional charge when I have made a withdrawal.

Isn't Scotia Bank, HSBC??

If so, that would explain it.

B of A has ownership in 2 banks. Scotia Inverlat and Santander Serfin.
Only these two.
There is NO B of A charge for using your B of A atm card in Mexico, at these 2 banks.
Works wonderfully, and saves me lots of fees.

Saludos,,,,mc
