ASSOCIATED PRESS

MEXICO CITY ? Officials have found a dead hunchbacked whale off
Mexico's Pacific coastline, and they suspect that a piece of fishing
net caught in its fin may have killed it.
In a statement late Monday, environmental prosecutors said the female
whale was found near BahDia de Banderas, in Nayarit state, and had
been dead for about two weeks.

Investigators took samples of the dead whale, which was at least 10
meters (33 feet) long. It was then buried.
