Am spending a night in Ensenada. Any suggestions as to places to stay, good cantinas, cool places to go, etc?
Thanks for the help!

I like the San Nicolas resort. Short walk to town . Nice pool and bar and of course, like most mexican hotel rooms, that lovely smell of insecticide.
The Paris club is also very nice...ask for Lillian.

"cool" places
i am probably younger (26), but don't know that my def of "cool" is that much different. just looking for places that are unique, beautiful,
different, etc. also looking for more local places. lived in mexico for a year and not into the spring break scene. any little cantinas would be
great too! plus, any good recommendations for places to stay (that are cheap) would be great. thanks!

Try the Manzanilla Restaurant and bar -- it's where the local winemakers hang out on the weekend (if you're into wine)

We've stayed here a couple of times...
...It's right in the middle of the tourist/restaurant/bar section of town. You can easily walk to most of the 'hot' spots...Hussong's, etc. Several
good restaurants within steps away...lots of curio shops also.

The Villa Fontana Day's Inn is right in the middle of the block, and they have a courtyard to park in that's secure overnight -cars, pickup's only, no
Moho's or trailers. It's about $50 per night, and I see they now have internet connections.
According to my clock...anytime is \'BAJA TIME\' & as Jimmy Buffett says,
\"It doesn\'t use numbers or moving hands It always just says now...\"

We love Papagallos....for lots of reasons. But then, I love the grace and style of the '40's.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
