New owners of Cortez Explorers (Muleg?'s Dive Center)

We would like to say a big 'hello' to all those on the forum. We are the new owners of Cortez Explorers, Muleg?'s own dive center. We are a father and son team, based in Mulege and San Diego.

We are offering an improved service for all your diving needs by offering PADI courses for all levels, as well as a new on-site classroom and an overall greater level of professionalism.

You can view our new site, as well as sign up for our monthly newsletter here:

We would love to hear from you, we are a short distance from Loreto and if you need any info on our town, diving or anything else, please drop us a line.

Diving gear

Hi there, as we will be in Mulege shortly with a couple of younger skindivers. I was to look into renting them some gear. Do you have skinsuits for rent and if so what's the goin' rate for a days dive for all the gear? Also , do you monitor daily local water conditions? That would be a benefit as many could use that here.. Will you have a website also? Thanx, Corky

Bienvenidos

WELCOME to the community of Mulege, Mick & Matthew...

Le damos la bienvenida a la comunidad de Mulege.

Glad to hear you are taking over from Andy. (Bon Voyage to Switzerland, Andy.)

We wish you many years of successful business. I remember when Claudia and Miguel first started that business...some will remember the old stickers that said "Go Down with Mulege Divers"?

I used to dive and snorkel the area a long time ago, but nowadays I mostly just boat and fish, but will refer our friends and guests to your dive business.

When we go out fishing we will be waving to you out at the old dive spots, I am sure.

Buena suerte!

If by skinsuit you mean lycra type material, then no, a this point we do not - La Tienda in town and the old owners of the dive center, do sell lycra suits. We do rent long johns and 1/2 wetsuits. Once we settle and start to refresh inventory we may well add some lycra.

As for rates, check out the site for our latest deals and specials that we have: - rental/trip information can be found here:

We do monitor the conditions whenever we dive - At the present time we do not post them online. However this is something I can work on if there is interest. Also of note is the fact that the temps close to shore for diving may not relate for fishing temps.

In the time being, if oyu wish to know what we are experiencing for temperatures, feel free to contact us - this leads me to your final question - YES! We do have a website,

http://www.cortez-explorers.com

Contact us through the site - Sorry, i do not like to post email addresses online here as spammers pic up on them.

Oh, one other thing, as we are now offering courses we do offer 'bubble maker' classes for our younger adventurers -

Anyway - stop by and say hi!

Safe Diving
