Los Barriles/Buena Vista #6 banking

I have read the info on the board (found by search) still need info.... I don't see a bank listed in LB/BV.. how do boardmembers handle banking in this area... I don't want to have to carry cash all the time... can you recommend a FM3 service in LB/BV or somewhere close... the posts are split on whether or not you get a FM3 or the checking account first then the other.... I'll just try to get them concurrently...

There is at least one ATM in Barriles for cash.
Was no bank last time we were there.
Our friends who live there have an account in La Paz where they go monthly for major shopping anyway.

Jack, we live in La Ribera and welcome to the Cape.

The ATM is down the street from Verdugos and has dinero sometimes. I was in Saturday and it was out, so we're heading to San Jose today for money for us and some friends. There is no bank and no other ATM between San Jose and La Paz.

Let us know when you've arrived and we'll get together. I know you have lots of questions.

To respond to your further question: Angelica Lucero in Los Barriles is wonderful for FM-3 help. Her office is at the Plaza, just as you turn into Los Barriles. You can reach her by email at angelicalucero@prodigy.net.mx or call her at 01-624-141-0733. Bring your last 3 bank statements showing adequate income. You can reach us at rivhse @ tco.net
