Pompano, did you put the table together and level it yourself? A friend of mine just gave us a pool table and it's also an Olehausen and it looks exactly like the one in your photo. It's sitting in my living room in pieces. I want to refininsh it before putting it back together. Those slates are very heavy, huh?

So there you are, bent over your cue stick, about to stroke a very delicate shot and then you see it. A note attached to the rail of the pool table right where you are leaning that says "Look Up". (or Don't Look Up ?).
Of course you look up, and right above your head is a cinderblock sized chunk of concrete hung on a thin string. Make you nervous ?? Miss that shot ?? Pompano.......!!

You'll have to get the rest of the story from Pompano if you are lucky enough to be invited to play his table.

In today's Tribune classified section there are three pool tables listed locally that might fit what you're looking for, for your trip in Augest. We're heading down about the same time, planning to spend the month. Maybe we'll see you and your table there.

Always keeping our eye on that 8 ball,

Rack 'em up Steve,

Are you breakin' or are we?

See you in AugUst!

Your pals,

Paulina and Dern.

We can't wait to see you passed out on the table at six o'clock at night after a hard days worth of partying down with your buddies. Inflatable might be the way to go, bro.:lol:

Love,
P. y D.

ps. what? no trip report?

yea frank i know, its amazing isnt it. im glad i have better things to do in life. ill call you later, i may want you to go check out that pool table if you have time. jeff says its a nice table and i trust him and the pics look nice. will be taking it down in augest on the flatbed along with my boat. looking forward for the boys trip this augest as i believe now theres around 15 buddys going and 4 boats. in june were going to finnish phills 2 car(boat) garage and turn it into a pool hall while were there along with beer fridge, dart boards and ping pong table. starting to load up on the dorado gear for this summers fishing down there with hopes of maybe finding yellowfin tuna south of san lorenzo island. the mexican connection will allso be there with around 20 guys with a planned boat trip to bahia bautista south. this will involve 8 boats and a pontoon boat heading south for 7 days camping on the beach then returning to BOLA for 7 remaining days. we may join them for three days on our boats then fish all the islands north back to base. will be a great trip so plan early if you can. me and the boys will be rideing quads this weekend so ill call you monday. by the way it was the stater(no spark) that went bad on my quad in mex, it will be fixed by next wensday and will be taking it back down the following thursday. see ya:bounce::coolup:
