Corp. question.
Hey Nomad friends,
Missed you all..... Been away a while.... Just returned from a 2 week tour in S. Korea (we did 6 concerts in 6 cities and another recording there) .
A ton of fun!
Those of you who have a Corp. in Mex. - I would appreciate any recommendations to read up, etc. With our new property and plans to build in a year or
two (our tentative plans include- TWO - two story bldgs with 2 B&B type accommodations on the first floor of each and our own living space on the
second floors (of each bldg)).... it seems we should put our property in a Corp. rather than an FC. I know also, that our fine Mex-biz helper has
had serious concerns about FCs (and banks not following through) the last year in BCS...
If you've any direct experience with a foreign owned Mex. Corp. for your property (that includes business requiring a Corp.,) I'd appreciate your
insights and any recommended reading / resources I should study up on. I know there are different TYPES of Corp.s in Mx., and capitol gains, US and
Mex. annual tax differences, and etc. to consider.... I'd like to get this right the first time!
I appreciate you sharing your insights!... again
Welcome to U2U me if you'd prefer to share without "airing your laundry."
Thanks!
djh

Suggestion: Invest in Legal Advice
djh, I would suggest you invest in some good, solid legal advice on this. One of the professionals I have used in the past is Dennis Peyton in TJ. He
is fairly close to me and I can drive to his office to sign legal documents in a day. You may want to start with him.
He is knowledgeable with Mexican Real Estate Law and Mexican Corporations. 011 52 613 664 634 2970. His assistant is Anabel.
Getting good legal opinions upfront, is worth the small investment cost in the grand scheme of things for your project. Good luck and have fun!

Juan is right djh you must invest in some good, solid legal advice on this. in spite of what ever advice you git here the rules are changing day to
day. and although I have had my Mexican corp for 14 years I am not going to say much here because I don't want to be the one that gets you in
trouble.

Miquelito is pretty well connected and can make things happen. He's the guy we used for our Corporation papers and a RE purchase. Only down side is
that he's pretty darn busy now.

Virginia and I have had our mexican corp for 15 years. Miguel has been proven to be Honest and Trustworthy and very well connected. When he became a
Norotia, his business increased. But a trip to discuss details are a must, if you are going to do business in Baja Sur. If you do business in Baja
Norte-use the Attorney in TJ.
