I love mexico

having spent almost ten years down here I am about to get Mexican citizenship and just wanted to say one cool thing about Fox. I just learned that there is a new law that allows me a one time exemption from capitol gains taxes when and if I sell my home. Nice huh! Well worth the $1200 it cost me. la migra Mexicana has been nothing but nice to me and I have no complaints except for when the witch of la paz miss Alma was in charge and Ortiz and Vernal resigned.
I also wanted to say that Cesar at the la Paz office is one nice guy if you get to know him. God bless Mexico and the USA!!!

Congratulations on your discovery.

I've corresponded with you many times since, but never told you that Mary Ann, Debra and I passed by your place, actually stopped hoping to introduce ourselves but you were gone and your gate was secured. We stopped at the small tienda a mile or so north and left a note in the senoras logbook for you which I'm sure you never got. Your reports from the south are legendary. Hang in there amigo!

Mexican citizenship

Welcome to the club of Mexican curios!!
Myself became Mexican three years ago for having three kids in three years......
Alma was a witch. She even terrified me. FOX administration at least changed many of the people at the top of federal posts and I noticed a big change in attitude.
W Mexico.
I have to admit that I loved America a lot while living in New York. I even got a green card and was planning to became a good American citizen down the road. Then moved to Mexico. My green card will expire next year and because of new checks and legislation I do not think I will try to renew it. If I try to do it the most probable result I would be banned from USA for many years because lying to INS.

Mike, Thank you so much for stopping by and trying to say hello. I am honored and bummed that I missed you. I just shot up to the States for a coupla weeks to attend to business and drag my wife back to paradise. I will check with the "ladrona lady" (thats how we affectionately refer to her around here) when I return.

Aldo, I hope to someday meet you and share a meal. Thank you for welcoming me into the club. I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with what you say about Fox, I think the corruption has gotten better. Maybe it's all still there but not as brazen as before and I do see life improving for the Mexicans in my area.

Duena Alma

I too lived through her regime, her reputation for being tough (or downright mean) was justified.

The degree of improvement in the La Paz INM office has been more than significant.

Last year my FM-3 renewal took 29 hours, partly due to my proactivity in knowing what they needed and mostly due to the efficiency of the people working there. I still wouldn't advise peeing them off or questioning their authority.

Peanut Butter

Stop at the Smart and Final store on the south side of Ensenada (Baja related) and buy a large tub of chunky peanut butter for me, thanks!
