Gringo Severely Beaten by Local Los Barriles Thug

After a verbal questioning about payment for an item at a ?Garage Sale? a well known local thug attacked, severely beat, and hospitalized a gringo Saturday morning 4/29/06. If front of numerous witnesses. The son of the local ?tortilla factory? owner, yes the one on main street, known for years for his dog attacking pitbull pack, has stepped up his intimidation of the gringo visitors and expats. Known to call himself ?The Assassin? this local family black sheep is a problem for both the Mexican and gringo residents and visitors. Since the local authority seem unwilling to actually do anything about this problem, because they don?t take complaints from gringos against Mexicans seriously, I?m suggesting a word of concern to the local businesses by money spending patrons may add pressure to the situation and lead to a solution. Next time you make reservations ask if it?s safe and that you are worried about "Blackie's son".

Gringo neighbors have been intimidated for years by this guy. After knocking a 70-year old man off his feet over some words about his problem dogs this thug threatened to rob and burn the gringo?s house. Mmmm. When the man left for the States his house was robbed of over $12,000 in fishing gear and tools. The Policia would only fill out a report after numerous office visits and a hired interpreter.

I hope this latest attack will finally bring enough pressure to remove this infection from the rapidly growing town of Los Barriles. At this point visitors should be a bit worried about their safety, and the local Mexicans should be worried about the reputation of their town.

Sounds to me like the "developers"------

-------need to have a heart to heart "talk" with Blackie and his son, backed up by a large group of the "residents", both Gringo and Mexicano.

What you describe is the classic "bully", and he needs to be educated.

I think you need to get the affected gringos in Los Barriles to chip in and hire one tough gringo (or African American) to go down there and kick Biff's ass. You'll probably have some extra money on hand in case Biff goes crying to the cops.
