San Bartolo - Always Green

One of the things I love about San Bartolo is that the water is always flowing, the fruit is always ripening, and everywhere there is green.

Beautiful pictures, Natalie Ann!

The blue edge on the casita window makes me want to see inside!

I agree. The orange casita peering through those green sharp edges works for me also.

It's a sweet casita. I have fond memories of the hot months spent there... sitting just outside the door, drinking Damiana and spraying mosquito repellent, listening to the voices and the music drift up from the arroyo, and getting high from the intoxicatingly sweet liquor of lots of rotting fruit on the ground.

Diver - de nada; you waited very patiently. ;)

Sharks - that is nicely green; you live in some beautiful country.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Always a treat to see your photos Natalie Ann. Thanks for sharing. I love the juxtaposition of the harsh desert landscape and the lush green foliage that Baja afords us.

That's why I posted the green pic. This is the only (sopping wet) temperate rainforest in the world. Sometimes I miss brown. Thanks Natalie for the visual reminders of the dark (green) side of Baja!

Sherri - my photos are from San Bartolo; Sharks are from Oregon, I believe.

How are you, woman? When you heading South again?

San Bartolo is south of La Paz, within a few miles from Los Barilles. Its where JR had his property.
