About ten years ago, there was word of a developer who was going to build a huge resort on the point of the cape. The road there is absolutely horrid. :barf:How were the tourists supposed to get to the resort? Cool beach area though, and there is a small expatriate community just before you turn to get to the point. I would say about 100 American/Canadiens.
I would be concerned if I were the property owners of the houses across the water from The Old Mill:!::!::!::!::!::!::!::!:

Hola, i stayed at the old mill hotel for two nights at the end of october, 2009, and the old mill restaurant was being worked on very slowly and a couple of the locals told me they weren't sure what the new owner was going to do.

the restaurant at don eddies was very intermittently open and the little market around the corner was intermittently open as well. the old rv park across from the old mill restaurant was basically a vacant lot with all the structures demolished except for one occupied house.

i would recommend bringing your own provisions " just in case ".

in 2006, i stayed at cielito lindo and it was just a disaster. the outside public bathroom had broken windows covered with cardboard and as they use well water, the showers started out muddy looking. they are not very regular turning the generator on a.m. or p.m.

as i haven't been there since, i have also heard that gypsy's is closed.

BIEN SALUD, DA RAT

My wife and I stayed there
1st week of Jan 2010. No place to eat close. We have enough to get by for the night;but being double on a Motorcycle and that long sand road into town to get dinner.I don't think my wife will want to go back.
