Mateo,

Great article and that area should be reclaimed for the ducks etc.

I bet it will be used in the fight over whether to line the canals in El Centro with concrete or not.

I have not been following that very closely but I think it will get very nasty before it is resolved. Everybody wants water and there is only so much of it available.

Roger that! Everytime I drive down to the casa by the sea I shake my head at the building orgy and qoute the world famous wise man from Loreto who once said, "Where will they get the water?" :(

Doo doo.
I was so hoping that this article would be about the San Jose Estuary. Right now it is threatened by lentejilla, a form of algae that is taking over the estuary. In small quantities this is a good plant that cleans the water but it is estimated that 60-70% of the estuary has this plant and this is not good and apparently if it gets out into the sea it morphs into a sea algae and can threaten the fishing. Scary stuff.
Sunday at 6pm a group of volunteers is meeting at El Presidente to remove as much as we can before dark. Anyone around who would like to help, can meet us there.

More news on the sewer treatment plant.....the city of San Jose is trying to take over the operation from Fonatur. Two weeks ago you could not walk downtown the stench was so bad. My friends who met here for our sailing trip almost threw up when I took them to the Tropicana to check into their rooms:barf: It was by far the worst I have ever smelled.
I am still trying to imagine paying over one million for a lot on the beach and having to drive by the doo doo factory to get there. For those of you who are not familiar with San Jose, the road to Puerto Los Cabos goes right by the above mentioned factory and it stinks all the time but sometimes worse than others. We have tried everything. A/C on recirculate, no a/c, hold your breath, windows up, windows down(bad idea). Now we just go another route.
Ah well, another highjacked thread, sorry crazy cat.
