cardon blooms


just back from the desert and was really impressed by the variety of cactus blooming this time of year. i figured spring was the usual bloom period, but since summer is the growth time, maybe it makes sense to bloom before winter sets in.

there were so many flies? around this bloom, and it was so high that my wife and i couldn't tell is these were seeds until we viewed on the computer.

The third one is Pitahya. This pink flower is where the fruit comes from.
This is the time of year that cactus bloom.
