Another interesting part of the article....
.....shows that Delta will begin non-stop flights to Liberia, Costa Rica from LAX. That can be very convenient if you're headed to the northern or
central Guanacaste area. No dealing with Juan Santamaria either, although I have never found that difficult.

The fine print states round trip only, maximum stay 30 days. Not good for Baja residents. The fares offered appear to be early introductories. It is
always good to have competition though. I noticed that they will also serve Loreto and more points of origin, such as San Francisco and Sacramento.
Wouldn't you think they would serve these destinations for longer periods of time at higher fares?

Most often those 30 day "round trip excursion" fares are cheaper than "one way" fares, so the trick is to buy back to back RT tickets (did it for
years on behalf of my clients) one thing to watch for though.....that date (Dec 15.) makes me wonder, are these flights just special for the holidays?
Many "Sun" destinations have flights for a limited holiday peak travel period....your Travel Agent can book flights generally 360 days in advance,
(computers don't understand longer than that) so have him/her check just how long those fares are good for and if the flights are still there. Debra
Wish I could figure out how to use this quote thingy!

Delta certainly isn't offering any "deals" unless you call 400$ for M-T a 'deal' Guess I'll be driving, staying longer, and coming for long weekends
much less often...
Has anyone ever heard of deals on Aero Mexico from San Diego where you have to physically go to the counter in San Diego? Last year supposedly the
flights were as low as 150 one way.
LAX or San Diego to Loreto for cheap airfare is what I'm looking for.

The last 3 days before a flight, AeroMx cuts prices for unfilled seats. Those tix are generally $150 plus one way taxes and fees from LAX to LaPaz.
Walk up to their counter or go through Expedia for an e-ticket. I've seen people come to the counter in LAX an hour before a flight and get first
class seats for that price.
Edited to note: this is no deal either - RT totals near $400
