Another Robbery In Baja at K58/Alisitos

Another Robbery In Baja at K58/Alisitos. Some neighbors kid just got back from baja on Friday pretty shaken up. They were camped at the far south end of K58/Alisitos where you walk down to the beach off the bluff. While sleeping they had guns put to their heads, Hog tied, and ripped off. The thieves got away with a truck, wetsuits, cash, and more. It seems like the problems we used to see further North is making it?s way South, only much more aggressive. No one was physically hurt.

they need to report this to either the Ensenada or Rosarito police, and the San Diego Tribune........the only thing that will get any action is adverse publicity that will impact the economy. The business owners need to complain.

Would someone please teach the police in that area the concept of a sting operation!

All of these accounts are literally occuring within about 10 kilometers of each other. These guys/vehicles have got to be being seen during the day.

I have read all of the posts regarding what has happened the last 3 weeks and my heart really goes out to the people involved in these violent crimes...I remember 25 years ago camping at k38 and being ripped off as we slept in tents. We went to the police and were told "Too bad amigo". They did'nt even take a report, just turned their heads and ignored us. Things have changed in Baja since then. It really has. The police are alot more attentive to the Americans and the tourists who visit Mexico, not only Baja but everywhere in Mexico. I have investigated many murders in Mexico. Some were Americans and many were Mexican nationals regarding insurance matters. What has been going on the toll road recently from Ensenada to Tijuana has been happening for a long time. These incidents have occured again and again and it is nothing new. Were these victims picked out because they were Americans....I dont think they were. Many Mexicans drive California plated vehicles in Mexico and I even drive a Mexican plated car. My brother in law is a commandante with the Federal de Caminos (Mexican Highway Patrol) and I recently spoke to him regarding these recent issues. He told me that they have stepped up patrols in that area and even have officers in unmarked cars patroling the area. He said that his office recieved commands from Mexico City regarding this recent activity that include more patrolmen in that area and also other investigative groups working for the federal govt. are now and have been for the last 6 weeks been in that area as well as Playas Tijuana working day and night trying to take control and catch these thugs. Remember this is not only happening in Baja and has been for some time but all over Mexico and Southern California. Always take precaution and dont drive at night---PLEASE---Get a room and take your time. The area around La Mission has always been a nasty place. I was ripped off there a few times while I was at a restaurant and now I dont even stop there anymore. Try to drive in groups. If you are by yourself stay close to another vehicle that has Cali plates. I really feel soo bad for those that recently had problems. I have been living in Ensenada now for 21 years and have not had a single incident (small) but nothing important. Keep safe out there..............

Great post Lizard Lips!

You got a lot of facts straight there - both in specifics and in summary.
