More Pics from Last Trip
Hi Everyone ~ I wanted to share a few more pics with you all.
I hope my timing is ok and no offense will be taken in posting pics from our great vacation when so many locals are still trying to get their lives
and homes back to as normal as possible. My heart truly goes out to all affected by John.
Stopped for breakfast in Santo Tomas
Drinks after dinner in Guerrero Negro, Malarrimo Restaurant, interesting whaling history
Tamales from Carmalita's (I swear, we did not eat the entire time! 
Seen coming out of Guerrero Negro, amazingly beautiful

I LOVE this picture! Anyone we know?  Taken in Mulege at the Orchard.
Downtown Mulege ~ This young man was helping this elderly woman across the street. It was something else you don't see too much in California
unfortunately....
The firehouse:
I just thought this was a interesting extreme in some of the homes we saw there, but still beautiful in it's own way.
This just made me laugh.....Those dogs were barking and NOT giving up!
I don't know who this is but he let me take his picture; he was walking from the marina area in Mulege
Mountain on the way to Loreto. Does anyone know if there is a significance to this design? It was beautiful nevertheless.
OK, for laughs, I wanted Will to straddle this rock so I could take a pic, but he was no fun and wouldn't, hehe

Very nice photos, all of them! Thank you for sharing. I got a laugh out of the hammock photo- notice all the Caguamas on the table in the background!
They might have contributed to siesta time!

In today's world with all the modern technology it is not to difficult to obtain an image with a camera either top side or underwater to create what
was formerly called a "snap shot." On rare occasions a true pictuue will emerge from this serendipious efforts.
You have a great eye for subject, composition and lighting--and taking true pictures that tell a story rather than just being a mere snap shot. Once
again I would strongly urge that you perfect the natural talent that you seem to have aquired by enrolling in a series of photo classes in your local
community college.
This enrollment is not to make you a professional photographer, but rather to further sharpen your skills in idenifing the componets of subject,
composition and lighting.
Remember a good photographer has a big waste basket! They are remembered by their best photograph or by or by their worst photograph--Toss the worse
and display the best.

Skipjack! I'm not hungry. Those tamale pictures still look good. Homemade tamales are very hard to find.

Cypress, it's hard to choose a favorite in Baja, everywhere we went was special in it's own way. But we spent most of our time in Mulege, which was
wonderful, just exploring, taking pictures of course, getting up early to get fresh tortillas, drinking my morning coffee on the patio of the
Serenidad, watching the sunrise. BOLA was really special though too, great people and just a nice quiet sense of community. I remember walking from
our hotel around 9 or 10pm, hand in hand with my honey under a full moon, to a little place to eat a few doors down and just having this total
peaceful feeling come over me. I think it's the personal experiences somewhere that make it a favorite place.
Dean~ Wow, you should be a writer if you are not already, LOL. Thank you for the wonderful complement. I have been planning on getting the book
"Understanding Exposure" to learn some more about, well exposure And my sister
and I have been talking about maybe taking some classes too. I think it's a great idea, so one day.....Oh and I have plenty of pics to toss in the
garbage Thank goodness for digital! As far as pictures that tell a story, you
got me thinking; I scrapbook and when I take pictures, I am thinking in the back of my mind about that and the way I want to capture my trip or event
and truly tell a story, my story. So, I guess it's working  Which is
great when I get home, but can make me really annoying on trips at times!
Thanks again everyone.....Now I want tamales bad........

How do you know that is the name? Or did you just make it up? I wouldn't be surprised if they did have names. I wonder how they form?

I believe that the mountainside "display" is lava. It probably just ooozed from fissures sometime after the forming of the original mountain, thus
the different "look" it has. It appears to be fairly new, as there is very little (if any) vegatation growing within the flows, which means that the
soil has not yet formed.
All this is really no more than a guess, but I have personally seen it several times, and wondered.
