TJ to Loreto

Just got to Loreto from Sacramento. Road is in good condition with a few rough stretches around G.N. 5 military stops, with only the one at San Ignacio asking questions. The first one, before going down the hill to Santo Tomas, has the detour so cut up by truck traffic that low clearance vehicles easily bottom out. and there realy is no reason not to just use the pavement, since they wave you through anyway. There are a bunch of washouts between Santa Rosalia and Mulege and a few etween Mulege and Loreto. Hit a bad unmarked one aroung Tres Virgines with two sections of road missing. Again a feather in the cap of Antonio in El Rosario, the best motel we stayed in on the trip down. Mojave, Econo lodge $ 60.00, San Ysidro, Best western $ 80.00, BAJA CACTUS, $ 30.00, and out of these Antonio's place by far the nicest. Last night we stayed at the Oasis in San Agnacio, spartan to say the least and lucky our little dog didn't get carried away by the ants.:P:P:P

Hey Ed. Glad you made it back to Nopolo. And glad you had a safe trip. Lucky for the banditos they didn't try to take you on!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you would have bitten their guns in two, and spit the bullets back at them, and beat the crap out of them. Just in time to watch the Whales Inn being demolished. Take some picture for us & post them as it comes down. I guess by now it's pretty much 'cleaned out'!!!!!
