Trump Ocean Resort's design will draw on mid-century influences of Luis Barragan, known as the 'father of Mexican modernism,' to create a destination that typifies the expectations of a modern yet contemporary coastal Mexican getaway. Inspired by a dramatic, cliff-side location overlooking the Pacific Ocean, design cues will key on simple interactions with nature, to create a seamless indoor/outdoor living environment.

Wow. Is it too late to get out of my contract with The Authentic Mexican Villages of Loreto Bay?

Although I'm kinda design challenged: "Modern, yet contemporary."

And as for the "seemless indoor/outdoor" environment...hmmm. They say in Loreto nowadays you have to lock your doors, so that design won't work in Loreto.

I doubt he'll have any problems. But if he does, he'll just call up Calderon and say, "Fix it or you're fired".

He'll just blame it on the apprentice and fire Him-Her.

Should be interesting...

to see if Donald the Omnipotent can accomplish something no other high-rise investor in that area has managed to do: complete construction in under 17 years.

Todo Baja Development

I'm a former resident of many yrs in San Diego; have owned a casita in Rosarito Beach for over 25 yrs and have lived in Baja Sur going on 13 yrs. This summer, as I drove north in late July, I was horrified to see tall electric poles being planted at L.A.Bay area, then while in Rosarito I attended the presentation of a group of developers, including the TRUMP BAJA place.
I could hardly believe that these people are going to sell condos to people who are going to use valet service and have daily maid service available, as I wonder just what these people will do in the area??? (other than the one golf course nearby) and then I wonder just how will they enjoy getting across the border, as I cannot see it improving (altho I have not experienced the Sentri lanes). It is very difficult for me to envision these type of people (those who would desire valets, etc.) living in Baja.:o
Then as I drove back to my haven on the Sea of Cortes' to help my husband clean up and repair after Hurricane John, I was again horrified and actually amazed, to see that the electric poles have been planted all the way south to Guerrero Negro!!! OH NO!!
I most certainly don't begrudge anyone having electricity, but what this portends, certainly changes the entire face of the peninsula.:?:
