SENTRI

Okay, I've seen that you can download the SENTRI application, but how do you get an appointment? Calling on the phone says they're not taking new appointments, but that message has been on there since at least July.....

They are not taking any calls.

We had an appointment for September 30th that we had waited four months for to renew.

The week prior to said appointment, we got a call telling us to use what you have, don't call us we'll call you for renewal.

They are revamping the whole system with the apparent goal to eventually allow the public to apply on-line.

I suggest you monitor this website for an official announcement.

They need more funding for border infrastructure.

Call your congressman and tell him this is a vital matter.

Commerce is suffering.

Matt

You hit it! I don't think people realize that a large majority of people with Sentri passes are Mexican business men.

I renewed earlier this year - the new passes do not have an expiration date printed on them like the old ones, even though they are supposedly good for two years.

And "renewal" is not really accurate - you basically have to re-apply from scratch. :(

Okay

When we renewed they said it expired in two year but that didn;t show on the pass. I asked and they said that it was embedded and if we didn't renew within two years the guys at the border would advise us that we could not use the lane until we renewed. Never heard of five years--would love it if it were true

Her appointment was on September 21'st however it was made back in May. She got her pass last week. There is no expiration date but they said as of November 1'st they will be good for 5 years. This was done in Calexico. They told her to try in a couple weeks to make an appointment for me and the kids...
