Mexico unrest in South, Is Northern Mexico still safe for tourists?

Ok, a lot of things happening lately so is it safe for Americans to remain??? I and my friends have traveled a lot in Mexico over the past 30 years but they and others are really concerned lately. I have seen very little of were tourists or Americans have been harmed in Mexico over this unrest but I have had friends return and are waiting it out before going back, so what's the feeling about "Is It Safe?":o

Whats happening in southern Mexico might as well be in Guatemala. Baja and the rest of Mexico is as normal as it was before Oaxaca.

Well, I hope the problems stay down south and time cools it off. I still make short runs into Mexico but just not with my buddies right now due to all of the problems. I have another run down to baja in the middle of November and I plan to do it on my motorcycle for the first time. I know it will be different than my truck but the urge to do it just makes me take the ride. Later----------------------------------Bajafun777 :bounce:
