More bad news, Blancornelas dead at 70

Crusading Mexican journalist Jesus Blancornelas dies of illness in Tijuana

MONTERREY, Mexico: Crusading investigative journalist Jesus Blancornelas, who relentlessly investigated drug cartels and government corruption despite an attempt on his life and the killing of colleagues, died early Thursday in Tijuana of a chronic illness, his newspaper announced. He was 70.

Blancornelas stepped down in April as director of the weekly newspaper Zeta, which he founded in 1980, citing his advancing age.

Sad news. At least the bastards didn't get him. I would expect the funeral to be a mega event.

You think Hank will pay his respects?
