4.2 Quake near Ensenada

http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/10498245/detail.html

December 8, 2006

SAN DIEGO -- Some area residents might have felt a light earthquake that struck south of the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday afternoon.

The 4.2 magnitude quake was centered 22 miles east northeast of Ensenada at 2:46 p.m.

It's not yet known if the quake caused any damage.

Officials at El Cajon City Hall said they were able to feel the quake. The Heartland Fire Department, however, said they had not received any 911 calls about the incident.
