Mail to La Paz

We are working on the plans for our move to La Paz in 2008. We've worked out many of the issues of being in Mexcio, FM's, health issues, what to do about satellite phone and TV etc. But, I've been struggling with mail, as I like my magazines and the occassional personal piece of mail etc. as most bills will be paid on-line.

So, I contacted the mail boxes etc. in Cabo as I know they get direct ship weekly from a mail boxes etc address in San Ysidro- it's a street address for those who need a US mailing address. My inquiry was whether there are plans to expand to LA Paz. The owner- Hector- said not right now but he had a way to get mail to La Paz through his store on a regular basis.

Those who may want to try out his service should contact him at--

hector@mailboxesloscabos.com

good luck--- Norm

Congratulations to you as well- future neighbor. I've looked at the general mail redelivery services and I come away cold. The Mailboxes option gives me a real person in Baja sur who is talking to me and another one in the US who gets my mail- logs it- and repackages it to the real person in Baja Sur and for about $5 per week gets it to me. I have time to think about it but, so far this one makes more sense to me and I'm pushing to get a MBE in La Paz.
