Directions at Border
I will be crossing the border at TJ in a few days. The last time I crossed (2 years ago) I remember ending up going the wrong direction (toward
Tecate) instead of toward the Ensenada Cuota. Can someone refresh me on which lanes to be in after I pick up my FMT to get me headed toward the
Cuota?

Keep to the right after you depart the Migra office.
Actually, about the second lane from the right,
within a couple hundred yards past the border you will see the big sign that says "Ensenada Scenic" and you will just drive to that sign, over the
bridge and down to the right, merging with the border road headed West, from there it is just stay with the flow, and follow the "Ensenada Scenic"
signs. It could not be more simple.

Last year my dear old folks were heading to Estero for their annual "homage". They needed not only a map, but pics to get them thru the border and on
their way south. I called BajaBound and they sent me pics taken from inside a vehicle, over the dash, high- lighting each and every sign, notable
points to watch for etc.!! It was like a printable virtual guide ! I highly suggest them for assistance when needing travel info around the border
area especially, and all the recent changes that may have been made to the roads.Just my 2 centavos, Sally ( Bajarunner has it right on!)

The turnoff to the toll road comes very quickly on the right side and it is also the entrance lane for other traffic merging in.....there is little
time / space available for the turn so be ready.....

Yes, for those who haven't crossed in a couple of years, the term TOLL ROAD has been changed to the better 'selling' term SCENIC ROAD a while ago...
Also what used to be a tricky middle lane left exit, from up on the river bridge, is now a tricky right lane exit off the bridge. Tricky in that there
is merging traffic coming in from the right just before the right exit.
If you look closely, the Highway access is still marked 'Mexico 1-D' and 'Cuota' (Toll) along with 'Playas', 'Rosarito', 'Ensenada'... in one or more
signs after you cross the border.

David, the old tricky left hand 360+ degree turn is still there, but the sign that said Rosarito Ensenada has been removed so no one uses it. I
noticed it one day when passing it as I took Via Rapida to Home Depot.

BajaGoeff, I gave credit to you guys cause I woudn'nt have even thought to look on the Rosarito Beach Hotel website! Jennifer was great handling their
