O'Reilly's convinced it's part of an overall liberal, commie plot.

Hey, maybe those inventive Communist Chinese can take out just individual sat channels, instead of the whole satellite itself?

As a former broadcaster I know there was a time when NEWS and opinion were very carefully separated. Rupert and his propaganda machine have completely abandoned any pretense of objectivity. The most wild kind of lies, opinion and speculation are now broadcast by that network with the words FOX NEWS superimposed over the pictures of the pundits.

WE report, YOU decide. The Fox content is a good balance for the craziest leftist content. The difference is that Rupert reaches Billions more people every day than the looney left ever hoped to. This is in part, IMO, because of the dismantling of the FCC beginning in the Clinton adminstration.

If you watch Fox, and you want balance, you should also watch Democracy Now. (if you can find it)

It would also be educational to watch the movie: Out Foxed

Hearing the opinions that lean to the right and left helps seperate fact from fiction in the news. I can't stand it when too many people try to talk at the same time and usually swithch the channel when they have a free for all on Fox. Fox news presentaton is hard to beat for US news! Hate Fox's commercialls!!! CNN has better commercials, more sophisticated format and wider world news coverage!!!
The one guy on Fox that is a real blockhead is Hannity. John Gibson is a complete nerd, but sometimes even he comes up with a good opinion or observation. I like Shep Smith the best because he just reports. O'Rielly comes in second tied with Cavuto. And although I agree with vgabndo that Fox slants the truth to the right most of the times, I also see where they have really made a difference with child molestation and border issues.
60 minutes rules, Mike!!!

Tangental Tilting

Unsurprisingly, ANY mention of FNC triggers a wealth of Political ventings having nothing to do with whether or not there was a technical problem with the channel.

The conspiracy theory obviously has no validity since he lost FNC AND TNT which is owned by the LeftWing Nutjob in Atlanta.

For the record, on my Legal Dish Network system receviers in Percebu, neither of those channels was missing from the lineup. I usually watch Fox in the early a.m. (7-9) and at 2, 3 and 5 p.m. At all times were they there AND still are.

WTF...just because I've had a life I have to explain it all to you people.

KBLU Yuma Arizona
KIVA TV Yuma Arizona
KWSD Mt. Shasta California
KSQU Weed, California

With an adjunct credential (which has since expired) I also taught Television Production at College of the Siskiyous (1981) where we had a small component relating to ethics in newscasting.

It is now your responsibility to prove that these FACTS are false, or I'll tune in to hear your explanation.

If you're pulling my leg, Dave, I apologize.
