Santa Rosalillita
Does anybody know how deep or what condition the marina is in? Or a way I can find out more information about it...

Filled with sand and unusable.
No potential benefit to the fishing co-op or yachtsmen.
(Sailers have always avoided this bight as it's a hazardous lee shore.)
Suggested Fonatur marketing name a la "The Bays of Huatulco": Bahia Fubar.

January 3rd. As in DRY at half tide. I wonder how long a sign would last out at the highway. BAHIA FUBAR I love it.

Keep it up you guys. They are planning to build another one right in front of my house here in East Cape. I am holding the big 3, Puerta La Salina,
Santa Rosallilita and Puerta Los Cabos out as examples of how to turn pesos into sand.

Whether the harbor fills with sand or not matters little to me. The damage to the coastline has already been done.

I was there earlier his month during low full moon tide. Sand in the middle. Looked more the size of a big boat ramp than a marina to me.

From the quarrying at San Andres to the disruption of sand flow leading to erosion and backcutting, to the absurdity of the pavement, to the
destruction of the traditonal panga beach...just an utter boondoggle.
Best case scenario at this point is for Fonatur to dismantle the jetties and call the road a "gift" to the co-op.
Unlikely. I fear a face-saving "surge" where they install a permanant dredge and continue to erect "infrastructure." Or worse still, build a huge
breakwater around the existing marina.
