Can recommend 2 of them.

We just dined at Villa Saverio's a couple of months ago. Excellent. Not inexpensive but rivals the best San Diego has to offer. Mediteranean influenced cuisine (Italian, Spanish, and French). $70 with 1 bottle of wine, inc appetizer and dessert (2 of us). Would cost twice as much for similar meal in SD.


Cien Anos we have dined at many times in the past, but not recently. More adventurous ingredient list, dishes from many regions of Mexico. Probably same price range as above. One dish that I remember is an appetizer of mushrooms in a marrow sauce.

We will have to try some of the others on the list. Thanks for posting the article.
