El CAMINO REAL, from space! (North from Santa Gertrudis)


This area of Baja, with many flat plains lends itself well for camino construction that is easy to spot from above!

The old trail heading northwest, climbs up this steep hill from where the El Arco auto. road merges with it, just west of the mission...

In the next link, the ECR crosses the Guillermo Prieto/San Francisquito auto. road, it is difficult to see...

I remember seeing the trail going off the present road to Sta. Gertrudis--its quite big there!
