There isn't a placard that I know of. We had a transponder placed on the inside of the windshield on the driver's side on each of our cars. I think
it's against the rules to transfer from one car to another.

Try registering the car on line
I would go to the GOES link and register the car on-line. It would require you to set up an account using the information found on your ID card.
Then there is a section where you can register your car. It will still take a visit to the SENTRI office, but even without an appointment it should
take less than 1/2 hour. 25 minutes of that was waiting for the next agent to be available.

The Gull is right!!! You can not transfer sticker from one car to another but you can add one and keep both. Since they started letting you register
online it really sped things up. I just love, I mean I just love that Sentri lane. We went to Mexicali on Friday night and passed 250 cars, my wife
was counting and also counting her blessings that she was not in those other lines, and cleared the border in 14 minutes instead of what would have
been almost 2 hours. Like I said I just love, I mean really love that Sentri card. The lines at the Sentri office has also gone down dramatically
since letting more be done online, so BajaBernie go online and then get in the short line. Bajafun777

If you only want one sticker/transponder you have to apply to SENTRI for a transfer. Removing it and doing it yourself will result in your pass
being yanked.

We had to get the windshield replaced and the installer was very careful--but the transponder came apart in his hands. They are designed to be
absolutely non-transferable. The car has to be inspected and the transponder is good for only that vehicle. If your car is stolen, you're supposed
to let the Sentri office know immediately so they can be on the alert for the transponder coming through. It's quick to get a replacement, though.
