Santiago zoo in the news
http://www.tribunadeloscabos.com.mx/newpage/index.cfm?op=por...

Thanks for the link

I am aware of this....was on the phone earlier today concerning it.

Ezequiel has been very helpful with his articles. The woman he speaks of "Sherlyn" (he does have her name wrong, though) is the woman who I originally tried to work with. She is now causing problems....I was told she had to be escorted off the zoo property when our surgeons were there.

We are not raising any funds right now. The Director of Ecology that Ezequiel mentions, whose name is Raul, is in the process of establishing a foundation, similar to what has been set up to help the turtles.

The more press the zoo gets, the better. They need to establish some accountability.

I need to post an update on the Santiago Zoo blog....a cub died of pnuemonia last week. I'll post more about this article too, when I get more information...I should get to it this weekend.

*Edited this morning to say that the donated amount stated was mistaken. It should have read 14 mil pesos, not 140 mil pesos.
