Rancho Los Amigos ? ?

I stayed in Jack D's house there for a week.... about 11 or 12 years ago. It was not very built up then.... Only a half dozen houses on a beautiful stretch of east cape beach.

I bartered with Jack for the use of his casa and had a wonderfully restful week there with family. Solar power, trucked in water, dusty roads in ( = private).

Jack had some Rancho Los Amigos (RLA) neighbors (from Nevada City) who had a nearby house, and they were really nice folks also.... but alas ~ I don't remember their names.... they had a cool store, gas stop, and homespun music (Beatles, I think) museum... The Mexican family that were RLA caretakers were really sweet folks too. We left them a few gifts and extra groceries when we headed back north...

I've lost touch with Jack, and haven't visited that stretch of the cape since. Just wondering what it is like there now and if any fellow nomads knew / know Jack, and if he's still around Rancho Los Amigos.
