I wanna know how you managed to get a picture of us at the birthday party without a tecate in our hands...photoshoped em out I suppose! We had another Sunday family gathering yesterday in San Roque and were fondly remembering your fine family. We currently have a group of young teens here doing spanish immersion and they are having a blast. There was a big quinceañera Saturday night and they danced alot and today is a big soccer & basketball match. See you guys in the summer!

Bajagypsy,
Thank you for sharing your trip and the fantastic photos. I really liked the 'homework' shot. I hope you showed it to your children's teachers. Kids CAN learn out of the classroom. We homeschooled our daughter in Baja her 2nd grade year. When we returned to the US she tested mid 3rd grade. (Although her 5th grade report card this year makes me think we need to go back to homeschooling in Baja!) We spend every school holiday at 'home' in Baja, and miss it madly when we're not there.
What a fine family you have! Once again, thank you for sharing.

Paulina, I totaly agree with you, our kids always come back form a trip, so far ahead it makes you wonder what they do in class.

It's the one on one teaching you had in baja versus one on thirty in classroom

Fifth grade has been a big jump in our school district. Up until now there were weekly homework packets. Now they're nightly and we end up spending 1 1/2 - 2 hours on this stuff every evening. TV time has gone down. Computer game time has gone down. It's an unwelcome adjustment.
